Raspberry Fireweed

First, come the Lilac blossoms into spring. Next, Lupine welcomes us into summer and, as the Fireweed blossom is nearing its end, summer is turning to fall.

This plant is prolific to the northern hemisphere and consumed as a fermented green tea worldwide. The name Fireweed earned its English name due to its growing habits, as it is often the first flower to grow in areas recently consumed by fire.  Its said to contain elements that are soothing to an inflammatory digestive tract. 

Flavor notes, fruity, sour, similar to green tea.
