Wild Rice (Minnesota wild harvested zizania)

Harvested the traditional way, by hand in a canoe in the pristine waters of Minnesota. Wood parched and hand winnowed. You can taste the difference of this fine quality fresh rice.

This year we were able to plant 1,500 pounds of our green rice in the St. Louis River Estuary with St. Louis River Alliance. It is an exciting project they have been doing for a number of years to re-establish traditional rice waters.
